EABC - Thailand Character & Content Expo 2026 (TCEX 2026)

On 11 July 2026, representatives from the EABC, including members of the Intellectual Property Rights Working Group and Policy Manager Ms. Pitchapha Suwanalert, attended the opening ceremony of the Thailand Character & Content Expo 2026 (TCEX 2026) at Paragon Hall, Siam Paragon, officiated by Mrs. Suphajee Suthumpun, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce.

In her opening remarks, Mrs. Suphajee emphasised that intellectual property infringement hinders Thailand’s economic progress by harming businesses and consumers, weakening the country’s trade competitiveness, and affecting investor confidence. Highlighting that robust intellectual property protection is an important consideration for Thailand’s key trading partners and is essential to maintaining Thailand’s attractiveness as a trade and investment destination.

The event also featured the signing of an MOU on preventing intellectual property infringement on internet platforms, led by the Department of Intellectual Property. As a partner in this initiative, EABC welcomes this important milestone and looks forward to continued collaboration with all stakeholders to strengthen intellectual property protection and foster an innovation-driven economy in Thailand.
