EABC - Workshop on “Securing the Future of Rice: Innovation and Partnerships Advancing Food Security, Climate Resilience and Low-Carbon Rice Systems”

On 14 October 2026, EABC joined a workshop on “Securing the Future of Rice: Innovation and Partnerships Advancing Food Security, Climate Resilience and Low-Carbon Rice Systems”. The event was hosted by Bayer in cooperation with GIZ and the Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU).

The event brought together government, industry, and development partners to discuss how to strengthen food security, support farmers, and encourage transition to more sustainable, low-carbon rice production across Asia.

Discussions highlighted practical solutions, including climate-smart finance, sustainable farming practices, and stronger value-chain partnerships. The workshop took place on the sidelines of the IMF-World Bank Annual Meetings in Bangkok from 12-16 October.
