EABC - Insurance Working Group Meeting #3

The Working Group welcomed Mr. Pongpanu Damrongsiri, Executive Director of the Thai General Insurance Association (TGIA), who shared perspectives on the current landscape of Thailand’s insurance sector, key regulatory challenges, and opportunities to strengthen the industry’s competitiveness. The discussion also explored opportunities for closer collaboration among key stakeholders, including the sharing of European best practices.

The meeting concluded with updates on the EU-Thailand Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations and EABC advocacy priorities. EABC extends its appreciation to TGIA and all participants for the insightful discussion and looks forward to continued collaboration in supporting an improved regulatory environment and greater ease of doing business in Thailand.
