EABC - Meeting with EIOPA 2026

On 12 October 2026, EABC Insurance Working Group, led by Chair, Mr. Matthew Grose met with Ms. Petra Hielkema, Chair of the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA), and Mr. Marco Traversa, Team Leader of Conduct of Business Oversight, at the EABC Office.

The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange insights on Thailand’s insurance landscape and regulatory environment, drawing on topics discussed by the Working Group over the past year. In the context of the ongoing EU-Thailand Free Trade Agreement negotiations, both sides shared perspectives and best practices, supporting continued dialogue, knowledge exchange, and closer cooperation between the European and Thai insurance sectors.
