EABC - Roundtable Discussion with the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Environment (DG ENV)

On 1 October 2026, EABC representatives joined a roundtable discussion with Ms. Monika Hencsey, Director for Green Diplomacy & Multilateralism and Ms. Valentina Beomonte Zobel, Country Desk Officer for Southeast Asia and ASEAN at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Environment (DG ENV), during their visit to Thailand.

The discussion provided an opportunity to exchange views on the EU’s environmental sustainability priorities and to hear directly from European businesses operating in Thailand about the local regulatory landscape, as well as the opportunities and challenges they face in implementing EU sustainability requirements.

EABC appreciates the opportunity to contribute the perspectives of European businesses in Thailand to this important dialogue and to support continued engagement on sustainability and the green transition.
