EABC: BOI-Foreign Chambers of Commerce Consultative Meeting

On 16 December 2020, our EABC President, Mr. Luca Bernardinetti, attended the BOI-Foreign Chambers of Commerce Consultative Meeting, held by the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) at the Grand Ballroom, InterContinental Bangkok.

Our Vice President Mr Bob Fox, in his JFCCT role, presented some of the topics, remotely from ASQ.

H.E. Mr. Supattanapong Punmeechaow, Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister, was the chairperson of the meeting, together with Ms. Duangjai Asawachintachit, BOI Secretary-General, and foreign chambers of commerce in Thailand.

This meeting was a successful opportunity to discuss issues affecting Thailand’s business environment (in particular Services Liberalisation / Foreign Business Act, Safe Border Opening and Fast Track Regulatory Reform and Work Permit / Visas issues),  and learn of the most recent BOI policies and measures.  His Excellency took great interest and requested follow – ups, in particular on work permit / visa issues of immediate concern.
