EABC Webinar on Enhancing Healthcare Access and Delivery through Digital Innovation

Held over one hour, this insightful and interesting webinar showed how two members’ digitalisation successes have made a different to access to and delivery of healthcare.  DOCQUITY has two domains: doctors’ professional communities and doctor-patient communities which realise gaps in doctor’s maintenance of knowhow and learning and support more focused and relevant care for patients.  Roche has made great strides in remote management, remote diagnostics and telemedicine.

Issues include cross border use of data and provision of care, acceptance of remote services delivery, the importance of collaboration between government and private sector in building proper access to healthcare and promote well-being for all. This pandemic induced healthcare evolution from the rise of telemedicine, health education, and other tech initiatives is palpable!

Mr Luca Bernardinetti EABC President opened the event (here),  Mr Amit Vithal , Co-Founder and CMO of Docquity (here), Mr Farid Bidgoli General Manager, Roche Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia & Laos, and Mr Bob Fox, Chair Digital Economy/ICT Group and Vice President EABC moderated the event with three themes:

• Digitalisation – Patient records, course of care / treatment, reports, images, platforms, privacy, infrastructure (soft and hard) . Digital governance

• Industry development –doctor communities; keeping current etc; digital literacy

• Service delivery – Remote diagnostics, remote care delivery, telehealth/telemedicine, cross border issues User groups acceptance and governance.
