EABC – TEBA “Thailand’s New Energy Plan and Opportunities for Europe”

On 22 October 2026, EABC Energy Working Group representatives participated in the discussion on “Thailand’s New Energy Plan and Opportunities for Europe,” organised by TEBA at Pacific City Club, featuring H.E. Mr. Akanat Promphan, Minister of Energy.

The discussion focused on Thailand’s priorities in strengthening energy security amid global supply disruptions while meeting rising electricity demand driven by industrial expansion, electrification and data centres.

For European businesses, Thailand’s energy transition presents opportunities in clean energy, grid modernisation, energy storage and data centre infrastructure. Clearer regulatory frameworks and continued investment in sustainable solutions will be important to balancing economic growth with energy security and environmental objectives.

Continued public-private dialogue will be key to translating Thailand’s energy priorities into meaningful opportunities for European businesses.
