On 27 April 2026, EABC representatives, led by Ms. Pavinee Bunyamissara, Chair of the IPR Working Group, participated in a press briefing at the Customs Department on recent enforcement actions related to intellectual property rights (IPR) infringement for the first half of FY2026 (October 2025 – March 2026).
The briefing was presided over by Mr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, with participation from Mrs. Suphajee Suthumpun, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, in her capacity as Chairperson of the National Intellectual Property Policy Committee.
The session brought together representatives from key Thai authorities, including the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Justice, and the Royal Thai Police, alongside private-sector rights holders, partner agencies, and embassies.
Authorities reported 332 cases, with over 1.3 million items seized and an estimated damage value exceeding THB 2.3 billion, reflecting ongoing enforcement efforts.
EABC acknowledges these efforts and continues to emphasize the importance of consistency, coordination, and transparency in strengthening IPR protection and supporting a predictable business environment.
