Working Group on the Cooperation in Railway Transport
On May 29th, EABC joined at the Residence of the German Ambassador the 1st meeting of the German-Thai Working Group on the Cooperation in Railway Transport. The meeting was co-chaired by the Minister of Transport, H.E. Arkhom Termpittayapaisith and H.E. Ambassador Peter Prügel. The action is to realize the Joint Declaration of Intent on the Further Development of the Cooperation in the Field of Railways between the Ministry of Transport of the Kingdom of Thailand and the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure of the Federal Republic of Germany, signed on November 26th, 2016.
There were three sub-working groups installed – Research and Development, Industry Cooperation / Public Tenders and Railway Operation, where Mr. Georg Wolff was appointed to chair. Mr. Wolff is a Board member of the EABC and also chairs the EABC Working Group Rail & Road Infrastructure. All EABC members are invited sending their experts to participate in the German/Thai groups.
Many EABC members like Siemens, Dorsch, Voest-Alpine joined already.
