EABC and JFCCT Joint Digital Economy/ICT Working Group and the Tourism Working Group organised a Roundtable on Digital Platforms – The New FDI: Governance, Operations, Issues, and What’s Next?

On 23 January 2026, EABC and JFCCT joint Digital Economy/ICT Working Group and the Tourism Working Group, organized and hosted a Roundtable on Digital Platforms – The New FDI: Governance, Operations, Issues, and What’s Next? at 7 Peaks Software, THE PARQ. TDRI provided expertise and special insights. The event brought together key stakeholders for (i) an comprehensive update on the current status (existing Digital Platforms Services law with some 25 regulations, proposed Platforms Economy Act, a proposed Competition Commission Guideline and proposed changes to the Hotel Act with platform regulation, plus possible changes to the Electronic Transactions Act), and (ii) a deep dive into salient issues, with perspective and experience from participants. The next stages will be engagement with ETDA (Electronic Transactions Development Agency)
