EABC: IPR Working Group held its 8th meeting of 2023 via SCL Nishimura & Asahi Office and MS Teams.

The meeting fostered constructive discussions on developments in the IPR sector including:

• The Department of Intellectual Property’s (“DIP”) announcement on criteria, methods, and conditions for filing trademark applications, other applications and documents through the electronic intellectual property registration system (e- filing) (announced on September 7, 2023)
• The DIP’s announcement on the forms of trademark, service mark, certification mark and collective mark applications, other applications, documents, and letters (announced on September 7, 2023)
• The DIP’s announcement on notification of orders or decisions of the Registrar or Trademark Board by electronic mail (e-mail) (announced on September 7, 2023)
• The DIP’s announcement on the new forms of trademark registration certificate and substitute (announced on September 7, 2023).
