WTO’s Trade Policy Review no. 7

On 22 June 2015, the EABC representative was invited to join the WTO’s Trade Policy Review no. 7 at the Department of Trade Negotiation, Ministry of Commerce. Several trade-related issues, derived from the EABC WGs,were shared with the WTO’s representatives. These include technical barriers to trade, customs reforms and trade facilitation, Thailand’s investment climate and competitiveness, particularly in terms of productivity and real trade liberalization, and potential FTA technical renegotiations. An issue of political instability was also discussed. This kind of the consultation reflects a channel of public-private policy collaboration.
