EABC - Meeting with FDA 2025

On 15 December 2025, EABC Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals Working Group, led by EABC President and Working Group Chair, Mrs. Paranee Adulyapichet, together with representatives from Food, Agriculture, and Beverages (FAB), had a meeting with Thailand’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA), led by Secretary-General, Ms. Supatra Boonserm.

The meeting highlighted key aspects of Thailand’s recent policies and regulations, including e-pharmacy, the Self-Care Policy, and cosmetics regulation. Participants exchanged views on regulatory harmonisation, with an emphasis on supporting the Working Group’s efforts to enhance access to safe and quality products. The discussion also explored ways to strengthen collaboration with the FDA, aiming to support regulatory frameworks that uphold high safety standards while also enabling timely access to high-quality and trusted products.

The meeting also included the introduction of the Anti-Illicit Trade Sub-Task Force, part of EABC’s ongoing efforts to support regulatory compliance and help protect consumers from unregulated or substandard products.
