CPG – “Bangkok Business Intelligence Talks”

The German-Southeast Asian Center of Excellence for Public Policy and Good Governance (CPG) is pleased to officially launch the “Bangkok Business Intelligence Talks”, a new platform for high-level exchange jointly initiated and hosted with the DEG – Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH Representative Office Bangkok. The series is designed to provide decision-makers with strategic perspectives on how evolving global, regional, and local developments shape business risks, opportunities, and policy environments.
The inaugural session, “Tectonic Transformations: Making Sense of a World in Flux – Strategic Implications for Asia and Thailand,” will take place on 20 May 2026, from 2:00–4:00 p.m., at The Empire Residence, 53rd Floor, The Empire, 1 South Sathorn Rd., Yannawa, Sathorn, Bangkok 10120.
The discussion takes as its starting point the ongoing war in the Middle East, which once again demonstrates how rapidly geopolitical developments can reshape economic realities far beyond their immediate region, including in Thailand. At the same time, the session looks beyond the current crisis, situating it within a broader context of systemic volatility, including Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine and intensifying geopolitical rivalries in Asia. The discussion aims to provide participants with a deeper understanding of the structural forces reshaping the global environment and their practical implications for business and policy decision-making.
The discussion will feature:
- Benjamin Brink, Regional Director Southeast Asia, DEG
- Henning Glaser, Director, CPG
- Lucas Meier, Program Manager, CPG
