EABC: The EU- ASEAN Business Council (EU-ABC) Mission to Thailand 2025
On 18 February 2025, the second day of the EABC / EU-ABC Mission Trip in Thailand, EABC, together with EU-ABC delegates, continued their high-level engagements, holding discussions with key government agencies and diplomatic missions.
In the morning, EABC met with the Ministry of Natural Resources, led by Mr. Apichat Sakdiset, Adviser to the Minister, to discuss Thailand’s environmental policies and sustainability regulations. EABC engaged in discussions on the revised Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) action plan and the Ministry’s perspective on business participation in Internationally Transferred Mitigation Outcomes (ITMOs) under the Paris Agreement framework.
In the afternoon, EABC visited the Delegation of the European Union to Thailand, led by Renita Bhaskar, Head of the Economic and Trade Section, to discuss EU-Thailand economic relations. The meeting focused on the latest updates on the EU-Thailand Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations, highlighting key priorities and potential areas where the private sector could contribute.
