Apply for UN Women 2021 Thailand WEPs Awards Today!

UN Women is now accepting nominations for its annual WEPs Awards in Thailand and Asia-Pacific, which honour private businesses that champion gender quality in their organization.

The Awards are hosted by WeEmpowerAsia, a UN Women Programme funded by the European Union aimed at increasing women’s participation and leadership and enhancing gender equality in the private sector. This year UN Women is co-organizing the Awards in partnership with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), The Office of SMEs Promotion (OSMEP), and the ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs Network (AWEN) and with the support of Kenan Foundation Asia, Global Compact Thailand Network (GCTN), Thailand Management Association (TMA) and Investing in Women (IW), an initiative of the Australian Government.

Nominees can compete in six categories: Leadership Commitment; Gender-Inclusive Workplace; Gender-Responsive Marketplace; Community Engagement and Partnerships; Transparency and Reporting; and Youth Leadership for Generation Equality. The latter three categories are new to this year’s awards. Also new this year are three Champions titles for small and medium-sized enterprises.

The Thailand National WEPs Awards ceremony will be held on October 21, 2021. All national winners will be eligible to compete in the regional awards to be announced on November 18, 2021.

UN Women received more than 400 nominations from 17 countries for the inaugural WEPs Awards last year. The 111 winners included small, medium-sized, and multinational companies and financial services organisations.
