Day 2: EU-ABC Mission to Thailand with The Customs Department
In morning of Tuesday 18th February, EABC president together with EABC Transport and logistics working group (lead by Mr. John Quamby and Mr. Thomas Fernandez) along with EABC members attend the meeting with Mr. Krisada Chinavicharana Director-General at The Customs Department.
Discussion was about addressed issues and recommendation from EU Mission delegates. While the Custom department also provide updated information and progress of related matter to the foreign business community such as National Single Windows, Customs E-payment, and reduction of customs physical examination.
In this regard, EABC has addressed several issues which includes, Thailand as distribution hub, Transit shipment, Cross-Border Transport Agreement (CBTA), E-customs; paperless customs declaration as well as illicit trade and smuggling.
