CYBER-SECURITY LAW INFORMATION SESSION

Members of the Digital Economy/ICT Working Group participated in an information session/hearing on Wednesday 3 October on the current draft Cybersecurity law, organized by the Ministry of Digital Economy & Society and held at the Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA) office. The current draft is not a further development of the March draft (on which the Working Group provided a detailed written submission) but is based on a 2015 draft. Comments on the current draft are due on 12 October; the Working Group is preparing these. The draft Cybersecurity law is one of a family of ‘digital economy’ laws on which the Working Group is engaged.
