Meeting with Bureau of Solar Energy Development

On Monday 12 September 2016 – EABC led by Mr. Rolf-Dieter Daniel, EABC President, visited the Bureau of Solar Energy Development, Ministry of Energy.  Ms. Kulwaree and Buranasajjawaraporn, Executive Director, welcomed the President and the EABC Executives to the office. The meeting was joined by representatives from Bureau of Biofuel Development.

The meeting discussed on the energy development plan in particular solar energy and energy development plan for electric vehicles in Thailand. The President praised Thailand for high achievement in the solar development in the region. Europe is home for solar development where technology can be extended to Thailand. In addition, the EABC is pleased to see Thailand participate in the early development of electric vehicles. However, much supports are needed from policy makers. The Bureau of Solar Energy Development supports the EABC to participate in the energy working groups with the Federation of Thai Industries. The Executive Director expressed its supports to educate the public about solar energy are needed. Both sides agreed joined seminar can help for PR. The President thanked the Bureau of Solar Energy Development for the supports of Thailand’s solar policy development. The EABC is also invited to have regular consultations with the Bureau of Solar Energy Development.
