On 7 September 2016, the opening ceremony of Food and Hotel 2016 was held at The Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC). The event which was presided over by General Tanasak Patimapragorn, Deputy Prime Minister, was attended by the Minister of Tourism and Sports, Mrs. Kobkarn Suriyasat Wattanavrangkul. EABC was represented at the opening ceremony by EABC President, Mr. Rolf-Dieter Daniel.
