EABC – Public Hearing on the Digital Government Development Plan Framework 2025–2027

On 23 March 2026, Mr. Bob Fox, Vice President of EABC and Chair of the Digital Economy/ICT Working Group, together with Dr. Charanya Nopnukulvised, Operations Director, attended the Public Hearing on the (Draft) Digital Government Development Plan Framework 2025–2027 (Revised) at Miracle Grand Convention Hotel, Bangkok.

The draft framework outlines Thailand’s strategy with the intention of delivering convenient, trusted, and user-centric public services through six key pillars. Priorities include a Single Portal for citizens, businesses, and foreign users; enhanced user experience; and strengthened digital infrastructure such as digital ID, digital signature, data exchange platforms, and open data.

Data governance, AI adoption, digital skills training, regulatory alignment, cybersecurity, and personal data protection.

The Working Group engages with DGA and has had fruitful interactions. There remain open issues such as foreigner digital ID, interoperability amongst agencies and scope and functionality of a foreigner portal. The Working Group continues to engage on these and other issues.
