E-Commerce Platforms Roundtable Dialogues

On 16 July 2025, EABC representatives — including President and Chair of the Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Working Group, Paranee Adulyapichet; Chair of the Intellectual Property Rights Working Group, Pavinee Bunyamissara; Policy Manager, Pitchapha Suwanalert; and EABC members participated in the E-Commerce platforms roundtable dialogues hosted by Lazada.

The roundtable opened with remarks by Mr. Arwut Wongsawas, Deputy Director General of the Department of Intellectual Property (DIP), who highlighted the importance of building a safe and reliable environment for IP rights holders. Mr. Arwut emphasisied that initiatives, such as this dialogue, serve as a starting point for strengthening IP protection, calling for cross-sectoral collaboration to keep pace with the digital economy and ensure effective enforcement of rights in all platforms.

Participants also gained insights from presentations by Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok on their respective approaches to IP protection, followed by productive exchanges during roundtable discussions among key stakeholders.
