EABC - Ceremony for the Destruction of Seized Counterfeit and Pirated Goods 2025

On 5 September 2025, EABC representatives led by Business Development Director, Ms. Petch Chojnacki, Chair of the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Working Group, Ms. Pavinee Bunyamissara, and Member of the IPR Working Group, Ms. Saowanee Leewijitsin, joined the Ceremony for the Destruction of Seized Counterfeit and Pirated Goods 2025, hosted by the Department of Intellectual Property (DIP).

The ceremony is an important part of Thailand’s commitment to address violations of intellectual property rights under the rules of the World Trade Organization (WTO), and to follow environmental standards in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The responsible destruction of counterfeit and pirated goods prevents their re-entry into the market, safeguards public health and safety, minimizes environmental impacts, and reinforces trust and confidence in legitimate businesses.

EABC extends our appreciations to the DIP, the Ministry of Commerce, and other involved stakeholders from the public sector and rights holders for their continued efforts in combating the proliferation of counterfeit and pirated goods.
