The GMS Consultation Meetings on “Enhancing the Role of Private Sector in the GMS Program” at InterContinental Bangkok.

On 18 October 2023- Mr. Bob Fox, Board Director & Chair of Digital Economy/ICT Working Group, Mr. Thomas E. Fernandez, Vice Chair of Transport and Logistics Working Group and Dr. Charanya Nopnukulvised, Ph.D., Operations Director attended the GMS Consultation Meetings on “Enhancing the Role of Private Sector in the GMS Program” at InterContinental Bangkok.

The technical meeting forms a critical component of the ongoing series of consultative discussions taking place in Bangkok from 17-20 October, focusing on the strategic initiatives outlined in the GMS Economic Cooperation Program Strategic Framework 2030 (GMS-2030).

The event’s primary objective was to present the scoping study’s findings and gather insights from essential stakeholders, including governmental bodies, development partners, and the private sector.

Mr. Thomas E. Fernandez, Vice Chair of Transport and Logistics Working Group contributed as a panelist, sharing valuable insights on the challenges and opportunities within the transportation sector across the GMS region.
