RAIL AND ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE WORKING GROUP MEETING WITH OTP

On 11 July 2016, the EABC Rail and Road Working Group in collaboration with the Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning (OTP), Ministry of Transport co-hosted the first meeting of Committee on Technical Cooperation in the Development of the Rail Transport System (CTCR) after its official appointment in April 2016.

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Nakorn Chantasorn, Advisor to President of NSTDA for Thailand Railway Technology Development Institute Project, and attended by participants from various organizations and companies, such as, MRTA, BTS, TISI, Thai Contractor Association, EABC Rail and Road Infrastructure Working Group representatives, Chulalongkorn University, Naresuan University and Kasetsart University, etc. The meeting discussed on RAMS, ASEAN Interoperability, Central Railway Authority, Elevated railway as well as establishing subcommittee to tackle specific issues and training. The next meeting is anticipated.
