Diageo Moët Hennessy (Thailand) Ltd. (DMHT) is a joint venture between Diageo, the global leader in beverage alcohol, and Moët Hennessy, a part of LVMH group who is the world’s leading luxury wines and spirits, being responsible for importation, marketing and distribution of premium alcoholic beverages in Thailand. The company was established in Thailand in 1964, formerly known as Riche Monde (Bangkok) Ltd. prior renamed Diageo Moët Hennessy (Thailand) Ltd. in 1997 following the formation of a joint venture.
DMHT is the Thailand’s leading premium imported beverage alcohol business with collection of iconic brands across spirts and wines that are Johnnie Walker, Hennessy, Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, Tanqueray, Smirnoff and Captain Morgan. Currently, 600 local talented personnel are employed.
DMHT is committed to promoting a positive role for alcohol; to championing inclusion and diversity; and to pioneer Grain to Glass Sustainability on which our long-term success depends; and making a positive contribution to the communities where we live, work, source and sell.
Society 2030: Spirit of Progress launched in 2020 is a stretching 10-year action plan on promoting responsible drinking, environmental sustainability and inclusion and diversity. The agenda aims not only to enhance corporate performance but also to build new levels of creditability and trust with our stakeholders and contributes directly to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. In Thailand, we have established a bold and ambitious plan which an objective to make significant contributions and achievements in the following 4 areas through working in partnership with stakeholders, including, the Royal Thai Government, business sector and civil society.
DRINKiQ: An education program that is available both in the form of physical training and e-module, targeting to educate at least 30,000 people and to engage at least 5 million consumers, customers and partners on moderate consumption per year.
Inclusion and Diversity: Champion gender diversity by achieving 50:50 male-female ratio at the leadership level of the organization.
Learning for Life: Provide skills development training, namely the 21st century skill, digital skill, communication skill, etc. that enhances a better job opportunity for groups of people at need such as students or employees in tourism and hospitality industry. The program aims to reach at least 1,500 people per year.
Combating Drink Driving: The latest e-learning program 'Wrong Side of the Road' was launched in early 2022 through a partnership with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and the Traffic Police Division, Thailand aiming to raise awareness of impacts of harmful use of alcohol to oneself, family and community and to create attitudinal and behavioural changes against drink-driving.
