HEALTHCARE WORKING GROUP MEETING WITH ADB

EABC and two representatives of our Healthcare Working Group, Ms. Paranee Adulyapichet and Mr. Jan Christensen met with the representatives of Asian Development Bank (ADB). We discussed the ADP concept paper on Supporting regional economic cooperation in the GMS region through the Healthy Special Economic Zones project. The Special Economic Zones (SEZ) are driven by migrant workers. There is a great need to improve the migrant health in the GMS and this can be done by coordinated approach to the problem.

ADB is planning a Border Zone Health Fund  (BZHF). This means cooperation between ADB (grants and loans), Ministry of Public Health and other participating ministries and development partners from private sector and philanthropists.
