INTRODUCTION

Whether they manage their operations from their regional headquarters in Asean or directly from their local office in the country, international companies operating in Myanmar are now facing many different challenges to maintain their activities.

Indeed, in addition to the impact of the political crisis on the economy and to international sanctions, new rules regulating international transfers, money exchange and banking have recently emerged, which are complicating day-to-day operations of local and international companies in the country.

Fortunately, solutions exist for companies to overcome these obstacles while remaining compliant with their internal and with international SOPs and standards.

This webinar will address and present the challenges faced by organisations operating in Myanmar, the current economic situation in the country after one year of political crisis, and will offer some solutions to companies on how to navigate safely in this difficult environment.
