The second episode of ‘BEING DIGITAL’ WEBINAR SERIES: Digital Government ‘The key building block for Thailand 4.0 and enabler for economic recovery’ was held on 8th December 2020 from 16.00-17.15 hrs. by Zoom Webinar. The series is co-organised by EABC and JFCCT and supported by thirteen bilateral chambers.

Thailand digital government development plan and actions for digitalization, recent developments in fast track regulatory reform, an understanding of relevant laws and regulation was addressed by Dr. Supot Tiarawut, President and CEO, Digital Government Development Agency (DGA) who showed a whole-of-government plan, which might take five years to implement fully.

Dr. Tiranee Achalakul, Director of Government Big Data Institute, Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA) focused on the digitalisation of agencies and the use of big data, governance, electronic signatures and what the private sector can to do support the public sector digitalization effort.

Mr. Bob Fox, Chair, Digital Economy/ICT Group (JFCCT and EABC), Vice President EABC, was moderator under three themes:

Digitalisation of agencies and private sector: incentives; fast track regulatory reform. Tools – Big Data; electronic signatures.

Making it work – promotion/understanding/engagement/incentives/digital literacy/ education
