EU-ABC workshop with the Office of Insurance Commission in Thailand on 1 October

On 1st October, EU-ABC held an online workshop with the Office of Insurance Commission in Thailand focusing on healthy aging, digital access to insurance and digital literacy. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Suthiphon Thaveechaiyagarn from the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC). The event was participated by various representatives both from EU-ABC and EABC in insurance sector.

Mr. Jan Rosemeyer, Chief Finance Officer from Allianz Ayudhya Assurance Pcl and EABC Insurance Working Group representative shared his case study on the partnership between Allianz Ayudhya Assurance and BDMS of which collaboration in technology is a key element, where Allianz Ayudhya Assurance has partnered to roll-out APIs to automate the claims process and with that significantly improve the experience for the insured through full automation and reduced processing time.

Mr. Bob Fox, EABC Vice President and Digital Economy/ICT Working Group Chair also shared his perspectives on digital literacy and the important of digital literacy training and development to enable consumers’ better informed choice and ease of interaction, and to empower the industry for digitalisation.
