On 18 October 2024, EABC’s President, Mrs. Paranee Adulyapichet, spoke at the roundtable titled “Stepping into a New Era of Thai-EU Relations: What Will Thailand Gain under the PCA?” organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Mrs. Paranee emphasized that the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA) would help identify gaps for European businesses interested in investing in Thailand, and provide technical support to bridge those gaps. She also highlighted research and development, along with capacity building, as key benefits that both Thai and European businesses stand to gain from the Agreement.
The roundtable, an initiative by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, aimed to bring together stakeholders from various sectors—government, business, academia, and media—to share their expectations for the Agreement.
Joining Mrs. Paranee on the panel were representatives from the Department of European Affairs, the Department of Trade Negotiations, the Federation of Thai Industries, the Centre for European Studies (CES) of Chulalongkorn University, and the Department of Climate Change and Environment.
