EABC Meeting with Thai Trade Representative (TTR)

On 18 June 2025, representatives from EABC — including President and Chair of the Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Working Group, Mrs. Paranee Adulyapichet; Vice President and Chair of the Digital Economy/ICT Working Group, Mr. Bob Fox; Vice President, Mr. Jan Eriksson; Board Member, Mrs. Noel Ashpole; Board Member, Ms. Onanong Pratakphiriya; Chair of the IPR Working Group, Ms. Pavinee Bunyamissara; Operations Director, Dr. Charanya Nopnukulvised; and Policy Manager, Ms. Pitchapha Suwanalert — met with Thailand Trade Representative (TTR), Mr. Werapong Prapha, and his team at Government House of Thailand.

The meeting was a valuable opportunity for a constructive dialogue, with both sides exchanging views on shared insights in the context of the development of EU-Thailand FTA. EABC presented key highlights from its 2025 European Business Position Paper, including recommendations on trade facilitation, investment, and regulatory reform.

As a policy-driven entity with complementary roles, EABC and TTR reaffirmed the value of strong public-private partnership –not only as a mechanism for engagement, but as a foundation for building a trade relationship that is inclusive, sustainable, and aligned with long-term goals.
