EABC Meeting with OECD
On 1 May 2025, EABC representatives — President Mrs. Paranee Adulyapichet, Vice President and Chair of Digital Economy/ICT Mr. Bob Fox, Board Member Mrs. Noel Ashpole, and Operations Director Dr. Charanya Nopnukulvised — attended the OECD Better Regulation Kick-Off Meeting and Initial Memorandum (IM) Workshop, organised by the Office of the Council of State (OCS) in collaboration with the OECD at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok.
On the same day, EABC representatives held a meeting with Mr. Phil O’Reilly, Chair of the Southeast Asia Contact Group Business at OECD, and Mr. Gary Rynhart, Senior Specialist on Employers’ Activities at the International Labour Organization (ILO), to exchange views on Thailand’s current business landscape. EABC shared sectoral insights and key observations from its ongoing advocacy efforts, contributing to a broader discussion on Thailand’s alignment with international standards.
Thailand’s pathway toward OECD membership represents a significant milestone that may help enhance policy quality and unlock new opportunities for international trade and investment. The exchange of ideas proved highly valuable in supporting the ongoing development of corporate governance and performance standards in Thailand, reinforcing the value of international cooperation and alignment with global frameworks.
EABC looks forward to continued collaboration with the OECD in the future.
