EABC Meeting with Minister of Finance
On 29th January 2021, EABC delegates led by Mr. Luca Bernardinetti, Mr. Jan Eriksson, Mr. Georg Wolff and Mrs. Paranee Adulyapichet had a meeting with H.E. Mr. Arkhom Termpittayapaisith, Minister of Finance, and six other representatives of MoF as part of its continued engagement since the Courtesy Meeting with His Excellency on 27 November 2020 and the four follow up meetings in specific areas – Finance, Digital, Healthcare, Excise Tax/Customs.
EABC appreciates His Excellency’s consideration of EABC’s proposals, which included the digitalization of financial interaction, e-commerce tax, e filing and payment in the tax system, reform of the new telecoms SOE ‘(NT’), sustainable healthcare financing, and customs & excise tax reform. EABC will work closely to advocate trade and investment policies enhancing transparency, fairness, and business competitiveness in Thailand and meet with His Excellency in about two months.
EABC welcomes all initiatives in support of the alignment of the Ministry of Finance of Thailand and international standards and practices. We are looking forward to our further collaboration with The Ministry of Finance of Thailand and relevant departments to share know-how from European practices to the Thai government.
