
EABC Luncheon: Welcome and Dialogue with the EU Ambassador to Thailand Recap

The event commenced with opening remarks by Mrs. Paranee Adulyapichet, President of the EABC, who officially welcomed H.E. Mrs. Luisa Ragher, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the European Union (EU) to Thailand. The programme featured a keynote address delivered by the Ambassador, emphasising the importance of strengthening partnerships between the European Union and Thailand, reflecting on the strength of this relationship, the opportunities ahead, and how to navigate the complexities of an increasingly dynamic global landscape.
A special remark was also delivered by Ms. Somrudee Poopornanake, Acting Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, highlighting continued confidence among European businesses in Thailand’s economic fundamentals and reaffirming support for the timely conclusion of the Thailand–EU Free Trade Agreement, alongside deeper collaboration in areas such as sustainability, innovation, and regulatory alignment.
