EABC - Intellectual Property Rights Working Group

On 20 August 2025, the EABC Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Working Group held its fifth hybrid meeting of the year, led by Pavinee Bunyamissara, at SCL Nishimura & Asahi Office.

Discussions focused on the 2026–2027 Intellectual Development Plan, with particular attention to the development of the IP landscape in Thailand. The meeting also included an exchange of insights on key IP-related topics, including the Draft Copyright Act, Geographical Indication registration and regulations, and the transition to electronic trademark certificates. Additionally, participants shared updates on the progress of the Illicit Trade Sub-Task Force and the IP SME Helpdesk.
