EABC - Illicit Trade Sub-Task Force Meeting #3 2025

On 25 September 2025, EABC -The European Chamber of Commerce in Thailand held the third meeting of the Illicit Trade Sub-Task Force of the year in a hybrid format at the PMI Office.

As a Sub-Task Force under the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Working Group led by Ms. Pavinee Bunyamissara, this Task Force was established to ensure focused discussion and advocacy on the issue of illicit trade in Thailand.

The participants continued work on the Sub-Task Force position paper, reflecting on illicit trade in the agriculture, pharmaceuticals, beverages, and tobacco industries, and this time also welcoming perspectives from the cosmetics industry. Sub-Task Force members also exchanged insights on the paper’s scope, the measurement of impacts on well-being and socioeconomic development, and approaches to stakeholder engagement in combating illicit trade.
