EABC: Energy Working Group Meeting
On 13th June 2023 – EABC Energy Working Group organised its second meeting of 2023 via the EABC office and MS Teams.
The meeting fostered constructive discussions on a range of topics, started with a presentation by Mr. Erik Foppen from Schneider Electric, followed by a roundtable discussion on energy development and carbon reduction initiatives: the draft Climate Change Act and legal updates pertaining to the energy sector, including;
- Proposed amendments to the Energy Industry Act
- Potentially new regulations forthcoming on storage, hydrogen, and CCUS
- New merger control regime in energy sector
- Proposed foreign ownership restrictions for energy licensees
