EABC – Cross Sectoral Issues (CSI) Working Group Meeting #2 2025
On 5 September 2025, EABC -The European Chamber of Commerce Thailand held the second Cross Sectoral Issues (CSI) Working Group meeting of the year, led by Mr. Nicholas Bellamy, in a hybrid format at the KPMG Office.
The working group members discussed three key focus areas. First, EABC President, Mrs. Paranee Adulyapichet, shared updates on the progress and activities relevant to the EU-Thailand FTA negotiations, as well as summarising the current position of the Thai government. Then, EABC-Vice President, Mr. Bob Fox, led a discussion on necessary amendments to the Foreign Business Act (FBA) that will further liberalise the Thai economy, enhancing competitiveness, transparency, and regulatory efficiency. The meeting ended with updates on recent tax policy developments presented by Ms. Melea Cruz from BDO.
EABC extends our appreciation to KPMG for generously hosting the meeting.
As the CSI Working Group covers a broad range of topics that cut across multiple sectors, its discussions play a significant role in shaping EABC’s overall advocacy. For the upcoming CSI meeting in early November, members are encouraged to actively participate and share their insights amidst the current atmosphere of change.
