Digital Economy/ICT Working Group Meeting 4/2021

On 20th April 2021, Digital Economy/ICT Working Group held its forth working group meeting for 2021, with over 24 participants. Topics included; safe border opening, pandemic rules-AGM, the Personal Data Protection Act, Cybersecurity Act (both of which see developments with regulations), telecoms industry development, SOE reform (and the necessary evolution of the new merged entity NT so that it focuses on core services),a new digital enabling law; an Associations law, eCommerce Tax, Guillotine, FBA developments and work permit and visa issues and some other topics. Special sessions on PDPA, Cybersecurity and eCommerce tax regulations are being set up; eCommerce tax is on 29 April – for details see elsewhere in this newsletter and go HERE.
