Destruction Ceremony of Intellectual Property Rights Infringing Goods

On 31st August 2023 – EABC led by Ms. Pavinee Bunyamissara, Chair of IPR WG, Mr. Franck Fougere, our esteemed member and former Chair of IPR WG, and Ms. Warangkana Hicks, Policy Manager attended the destruction ceremony of counterfeit products organised by Department of Intellectual Property (DIP).

Mr. Vuttikrai Leewiraphan, Director-General of the Department of Intellectual Property presided over the ceremony. The cases total 1,253,529 pieces, representing damages of more than 600 million baht.

The ceremony was attended with representatives from government agencies, private sector, partner country representatives as witnesses.
