Consultative session – BOI –1 December 2016 at BOI offices.

Present were BOI Secretary-General Mrs. Hirunya Suchinai , Dep Sec-Gen Duangjai Asawachintachit ,Dep Sec-Gen Ajarin Pattanapanchai and other key staff.   Mr Phongsakdi Chakshuvej Vice Chair of JFCCT and President German-Thai chamber, Mr Bob Fox, Chair JFCCT ICT Group and EABC ICT Working Group, and Mr Chaladbhum Temkasem EABC Policy Manager along with Ms Vibeke Lyssand Leirvag president Thai-Norwegian Chamber and members of EABC/JFCCT ICT Group.
Participants learned of updates from BOI, discussed Digital Economy and other BOI policies. Also covered were updates to the moves to change the definition of “work”, service sector liberalization, obstacles to doing business in Thailand which BOI had requested be provided, along with related inputs.  BOI has invited further engagement on these topics and has indicated strong support for a change to the definition of ‘work’.
