Meeting with DBD

On 22 December 2020, an informal discussion was held with Mr Thosapone Dansuputra, Director-General Department of Business Development and Mr Worwait Sing-In, Director, Foreign Business Administration Division, of DBD, Ministry of Commerce, Mr Bob Fox, EABC and Mr Paul Scales (Irish Chamber) to explore points in the EABC submission and better understand DBD’s objectives in relation to the Foreign Business Act.

As the EABC submission notes, DBD has proposed removing from List 3, three business activities – Type 1 telecoms licence activity, treasury activities, software development.  EABC proposes that List 3 changes would support services liberalisation and be part of the tools for economic recovery.
