
EABC – NESDC Annual Conference 2025: “Thailand’s Institutional Reform”
On 26 September 2025, EABC representatives, led by President, Mrs. Paranee Adulyapichet, Operations Director, Ms. Charanya Nopnukulvised, Ph.D., and Policy Manager, Ms. Pitchapha Suwanalert, attended the Annual Conference 2025 of the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC).
The conference, organised by the NESDC under the theme “Thailand’s Institutional Reform”, included keynote sessions and a panel discussion focused on the structural reforms needed to strengthen Thailand’s competitiveness and drive socio-economic development. Speakers particularly emphasised the importance of modernising the public sector to transform it into an institutional enabler of growth and resilience.
The Chairman of the NESDC, Dr. Supavud Saicheua, gave an opening speech emphasising the need to reform Thailand’s institutional structure to enhance competitiveness, inspire hope, build trust, and unlock the country’s potential to become a regional economic centre.
Followed by a keynote speech from The Secretary-General of the NESDC, Mr. Danucha Pichayanan, stressing the importance of proactive investment for long-term growth, specifically citing the need to increase agricultural productivity and adopt technology for higher value-added goods, along with listing five key areas for structural reform Thailand must undertake.
