EABC: The EU- ASEAN Business Council (EU-ABC) Mission to Thailand 2025

On 17 February 2025, the first day of the EABC / EU-ABC Mission Trip to Thailand, EABC, together with EU-ABC delegates, engaged in high-level discussions with three government agencies.

In the morning, EABC met with the Board of Investment (BOI), led by Deputy Secretary-General Mr. Wirat Tatsaringkansakul, to discuss key investment policies and Thailand’s investment priorities. EABC also explored potential collaboration with BOI in the agricultural sector to enhance productivity, improve production and distribution, and address environmental challenges.

At the same time, another group of delegates had a separate meeting with the Ministry of Energy, led by Mr. Samerjai Suksumek, Advisor to the Minister of Energy. In the meeting, EABC discussed how the private sector could support the government’s objectives outlined in the Power Development Plan.

In the afternoon, EABC met with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), led by Governor Chadchart Sittipunt. The meeting covered Bangkok’s healthcare strategies, environmental sustainability, and opportunities for businesses to support financial governance in urban development.
