EABC - Energy Working Group Luncheon #1

On 10 April 2026, the European Association for Business and Commerce (EABC) Energy Working Group, led by Working Group Chair, Marty Sinthavanarong. convened its first luncheon meeting of the year at Amici Italian Restaurant.

The meeting opened with exchanges of insights among members and distinguished speakers Henning Glaser and Lucas Meier, including perspectives on the implications of Middle East developments in the context of Thailand’s energy landscape. This set the stage for a broader discussion that highlight policy-focused on key regulatory priorities—ranging from the Power Development Plan and Direct PPA frameworks to evolving electricity and oil tariffs.

The discussion reflected how businesses are navigating an evolving environment, while emphasising the importance of continued dialogue and policy clarity. The forward-looking and transparent frameworks will remain important in supporting investment planning, enabling private sector participation, and balancing considerations around affordability, sustainability, and security.
