EABC’s Board visited the Department of European Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss economic relations between Thailand and the EU.

On 8 November 2024, EABC’s Board visited the Department of European Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss economic relations between Thailand and the EU. The Ministry’s participants were led by Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Director-General of the Department, along with Ms. Somrudee Poopornanake and Ms. Marinee Suwanmoli, both Deputy Directors-General.

The two sides shared key areas of focus and discussed the EU-Thailand economic relationship, particularly the ongoing EU-Thailand FTA negotiations, the EU-Thailand Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA), Thailand’s accession to the OECD, and visa policies. EABC also took this opportunity to present the business perspective on EU regulations, namely, the EUDR, CBAM, and CSDDD.

EABC and the Department of European Affairs reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening EU-Thailand economic relations based on mutual interests.
