PDPA Public Hearing on the draft subsidiary legislation

The Digital Economy / ICT Group is co-ordinating engagement on the subsidiary rules for the Personal Data Protection Act. On 16 and 17 February 2021, EABC representatives participated in the virtual PDPA Public Hearing on the draft subsidiary legislation of the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) 2019 organized by the Academic Service Center of Chulalongkorn University (Unisearch) and the Office of the Permanent Secretary for Digital Economy and Society.

A submission on initial responses is due 28 February. The Digital Economy/ICT group will be holding further sessions.  MDES plans to issue draft regulations in March and hold the next stage of public hearings on them then.
