IPR Working Group Meeting with DIP

On 26 March 2024, EABC had an opportunity to meet with Khun Kanitha Kungsawanich, Deputy Director General, along with other representatives from the International Affairs Office, Legal Affairs Office, Trademark Office, Intellectual Property Rights, Enforcement Office, Copyright Office and Patent Office.

The meeting was led by from the representatives from IPR Working Group members. Constructive discussions during the meeting allowed to cover various topics surrounding the current developments of IP in Thailand including; MOU on Online Advertising, Draft of the Patent Act,

Patent backlog, Grace period for late payment of trademark registration fees, Developments in Copyright in the context of newer digital technologies, Customs enforcement and  Illicit trade.
